WELCOME TO THE FOOD SERVICE DEPARTMENT

 

Texas Leadership Charter Academy (TLCA) is dedicated to providing the most nutritionally sound meals possible for our students. We acknowledge the importance of student nutrition and fitness and the role it plays in everyday student academic success.

 

We are excited to announce that starting in school year 2015-2016, TLCA has joined the ranks of more than 300 school districts across 27 states and has made the decision to partner with Preferred Meals to provide food service for our entire district.  With over 45 years of experience, Preferred Meals is passionate about serving nutritious, well balanced, and tasty food. All meals are kid tested and approved and also meet state and federal dietary guidelines.

* Visitor/Staff meals must be ordered and paid for in the front offices of each campus by 9:00 am to ensure an appropriate number of meals are prepared.

 

MEAL ACCOUNT BALANCES AND PAYMENT OPTIONS

 

To view recent purchases, check balances, make online payments, and set-up low balance alerts please sign up for a MySchoolBucks account. To avoid issues locating your student be sure to select Texas Leadership Charter Academy as the ISD and not the local ISD.

 

Cash and check payments can be sent to school with your student to be given to their teacher and a receipt will be sent back home to keep for your record. Payments can also be made in the front office of all campuses. Payments may take 24 hrs to post to student accounts.

 

Negative balance notices are sent home with students at least once a week and higher balances may be mailed home as well. 

 

FREE AND REDUCED MEAL APPLICATION

 

TLCA is also pleased to announce the availability of applying for Free and Reduced Price Meals online!  The process is SAFE, SECURE, PRIVATE, and AVAILABLE anytime, anywhere! Paper applications are also available at all appropriate campus administrative offices.

 

For new and transferring students, please be aware that eligibility statuses do not automatically transfer from previous schools and a new application must be submitted to TLCA. Applications must be submitted annually for all students.
