Principal's Biographies

I am a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Midland. I hold an Associate’s Degree from Midland College in Substance Abuse Counseling. I also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science from Lamar University and I am currently enrolled in the graduate program for Educational Leadership.

I have been at Texas Leadership of Midland since the second year we opened the campus and have taught Kinder, 4th, and Junior High Science. "Leader In Me" has been such an inspiration in my career and life. Passing on my passion for the 7 Habits to the kids and their parents is a great opportunity I have had at TLCA.

I am a native Midlander but have had the privilege to live in San Angelo, Odessa, El Paso, and Sweetwater, Texas.

I am blessed to raise my awesome and talented daughter, Leah.

Hello, everyone! My name is Jessica Stanford, and I am a native of Midland and a 1995 graduate of Lee High School. I have my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin and currently pursuing my Masters in Educational Leadership also from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. I began my journey with TLCA as the school nurse in its first year. It did not take long before I felt led to become a certified teacher, and I began the process of alternative certification. Once I received my EC-6 and ESL certification, I accepted the opportunity to transition from being the school nurse to a classroom teacher. I have served as a 1st, 3rd, 4th-grade teacher, Reading Interventionist, and Instructional Coach.

Educating the whole person is something I am passionate about. I feel that this can only happen when you invest time to build relationships. TLCA has created the perfect environment for this to occur as it aligns with their mission, vision and values. I am so fortunate to be able to serve alongside the students, parents, and staff of TLCA as we make a difference in our community.

I have been married to my husband, Jerry, for 19 years. Together we have three lovely young ladies: Daija, Desarea, and Destiny. We also have the most precious granddaughter Jeaslyn. As a family, we are very active in our church and community.

Ms. Holly Tveit is a certified Principal and has been with Texas Leadership for five of the six years it has been open, serving as an Instructional Coach and a 1st Grade Teacher. She has been in the education field for 11 years and before coming to TLCA, She served as a Teacher at Goliad Elementary in Odessa, TX and at Kermit Elementary in Kermit, TX. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Sul Ross State University, and a Master of Library Science from Drexel University.

Ms. Tveit has no children, but does have a cat whom she loves dearly. She lives with her two sisters in Odessa. Children are her love and passion, books are her favorite, and she has a strange obsession with dragons.

Her mission statement is simple: Connect with those around you; Learn from your experiences; Persevere until you feel the job is done and you are satisfied.
